Shadman  As A Place  

Shadman is covering 1635.886 kanal of the area with more than 70 commercial buildings are operational within its vicinity. Its rich road network connects it with all basic facilities including health, transport and educational sectors which are creating convenience in daily life. This area has Service Hospital, Hamza Hospital, Prof. Dr. Suhail Sarwar (Suhail's Oculab), Mid City Hospital, Fatima Memorial Hospital. It is also accessible to the neighbourhood areas Ichra, Shams Colony, Fazlia Colony, Sardar Colony through primary road Kasur road and secondary road Canal road creating smooth connectivity. 

According to me it is over all a good place to live in as it facilitate many basic necessities and also there is also 0% increase in rent since 3 months. 

The Witch  

    Yes now to the fun part and now to the legend. 

But before continuing please keep in mind there is no historic records of of this legend but, uhumm  ; LOCAL WISDOM. So any way the legend goes as: 

There used to be a women who used to live in the Shadman area and due to betrayal and injustice ( it is unknown about who betrayed her and what injustice happened to her) but it is confirmed that the whole area apparently was on the plan so she turned to black magic to take revenge but that things got out of control and she cold not bear the consequences of her actions so at a last ditch attempt she cursed the area and hanged her self and ever since her sprit and the beings she unleashed are still roaming the streets of Shadman. 

My thoughts

So I think it is just folklore because there is no specific house or area in this story and this was in a city not in a town and it doesn't make sense to me. So what do you think about it please comment about it. Also please tell me about other scary places of lahore that I should cover. And why all the good and beautiful places have these types of crazy legends bro couldn't go and do suicide any where else.

THE LAHORE FORT

The lahore fort  famously known as Shahi Qila is a top tourist attraction in Lahore or in Pakistan as a whole I must say. It is mostly known for its rich history of the Mughal Emperors used to rule the Subcontinent ( Indo-Pak )  which are now modern day India and Pakistan. Lahore fort is located in as the name suggest in Lahore Pakistan.

CONTEXT

Lahore fort is haunted by a ghost of a princess who was locked in a tower in Lahore Fort. There is no actual information regarding which tower the princess was imprisoned but many speculate it to be this tower:

MORE ABOUT THE PRINCESS

The name of the princess  who died there was Zeb-un-Nissa. She had a love for poetry and then eventually became a poet. In her love for poetry she wrote under the pen name of MAKHFI which means the hidden one. She was the daughter of a very famous Emperor ( Aurangzeb ). She was also his most eldest daughter.  She was an intelligent, strong willed women. She was known for intellectual pursuits and Sufi inclinations.

HER DEATH AND HER HAUNTING 

She built the Chauburji Gardens in Lahore. She had love affair with the governor of Lahore of that time who was Aqil Khan. This caused her father  Emperor  Aurangzeb to be very angry because he wanted her to marry the man he wanted Mirza Farukh of Iran but she refused. This angered Aurangzeb and he threw her into a tower and left her to die. After dying of sickness or of starvation her ghost still haunts the fort till this day. 

HAUNTINGS

There is no official reports of this haunting but many verbal accounts have been documented. These accounts mostly consist of people sneaking into this fort at night and encountering the ghost of the the princess. Most of the things many people describe of the hauntings in common are hearing the clinking of jewellery, faint crying and rustling of traditional cloths. Glimpses of a fleeting, ethereal figure, often described as a woman in traditional attire, disappearing quickly. 

AN ENCOUNTER

THE FOLLOWING STORY IS A VERBAL REPORT OF PEOPLE SNEAKING IN THE LAHORE FORT AND EXPERINCING PARANORMAL ACTIVITIES.  THEY RELEATE TO COLLAGE STUDENTS VENTURING INTO THE LAHORE FORT AT NIGHT SNEAKING PAST SICURITY AND TO TEST THE GHOST  LEGENDS. LOOK'S LIKE YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE NATIVE WISDOM.

THE STORY 

When a group of university students went into the Lahore Fort after dawn when the Fort is closed ( and is illegal to enter ) . But they did not care. Their were four friends who entered the fort named Ahmed. Asim, Bilal and Imran. Those four did not believe in the legend of princess ZEB-UN-NISSA  haunting the fort. They entered the fort ad starting roaming around the fort. The fort once buzzed with tourist now quite and peaceful. They took out there flashlight and started heading towards the Moti Masjid where the sprit is likely to be at. 

As they reached the Moti Masjid and went inside it there was no one in it, no sound, no nothing, it was like lifeless, not even a single sound. "all of this is just hoax"  said Asim shining his light all around the Moti Masjid. " Lets go to the Hammam" said Bilal  " She is the most active there" He said with a smug grin on his face. The group of friends started heading towards the direction of the Hammam. Somewhere along the way a beautiful smell of Jasmin started to occur out of nowhere " Do you smell that" Said Asim.  " Must be old flowers " replied  Ahmed. Suddenly they started hearing bangles clinking and the sound of traditional dress rustling. In the tower they saw a girl sitting beside the wall and she was whimpering " Are you okey"  shouted Ahmed. Bilal was starting to back away slowly. " bro what's happening to you" whispered Asim. " She is the sprit, don't you realize." He whispered Bilal. That's when a wave of realization hit their faces. The sprit let out an blood curtailing scream. All of them ran from the fort and only stooped when they were out of the fort. They never doubted any urban legend after that.

Lahore Fort is home to many other sprits and ghosts. For Example :

THE SPRITS OF SOLDIERS AND PRISIONERS 

The fort was often a battle ground and many soldiers served in those battles and those who died within the walls of this fort. Their souls are still at unrest, still lingering within the castle walls. Some people hear the crackling of chains. 

CHURRALS

Churail is a type of witch who supposedly inhabited old Lahore. Some of them were imprisoned or sentenced to death. It is told that the sprits of Churails are still in that fort.

These are the other Haunted places in The Lahore Fort. Some people believe in these stories but others dismiss it as a hoax. It is as a folklore as many people say it. 

Their is an official tour for the Lahore Fort organized by the Government of Punjab called " FORT FRIGHT ".  Where there is many acts and its an fun tour. 

In conclusion The Lahore Fort is a Hot spot for tourists from all over the world. If you want to go there for it's rich history for it's stunning gardens or for the spooky fun. But please do it legally and don't be like Ahmad, Asim, Bilal and Imran.
